Court stenographic notes taken in naturalization proceedings. Records provide a unique window into early twentieth century naturalization questions and show court term, petitioner, nature of testimony, and nativity. May also include preliminary forms for naturalization, certificate of arrival requests, petition for name changes, preliminary forms for petition or declaration, and facts for declaration of intention. Arrivals after June 1, 1921 required certificate of arrival documentation before declarations were issued by the civil court.
