There is an ongoing investigation regarding an incident Thursday in southern Lancaster County. Preliminary indications are as follows:
A Gap man fled law-enforcement officials who tried to serve him with a warrant Thursday afternoon in Christiana.
The wanted man drove at the officials while attempting to flee, prompting a Lancaster County deputy sheriff to fire. The wanted man, 27, was not struck, nor was anyone else.
The man then led deputies and Christiana police on a low-speed pursuit which ended with the man crashing in the 600 block of Noble Road.
The man was not seriously hurt. He did have a female passenger when he fled in the vehicle. She was not injured.
A team of deputies were serving the felony warrant about 1 p.m. at a location on Maple Shade Road when the man fled in the vehicle.
The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, assisted by Pennsylvania State Police, is investigating.
The man’s name, along with more details on the incident and warrant, will be released at a later time.
