[ARCHIVED] Commonwealth v. William Trivett


Convicted of: IDSI of a child (F1), Aggravated Indecent Assault – person < 13 (F2); 2 counts of Indecent Assault – person > 13 (M1); Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F1), and Corruption of Minors (M1)

Jury selected on April 30, 2014. Defendant pled open on May 1, 2014. He was sentenced to 10 – 20 years plus 5 years probation before Judge Ashworth. Sexual Violent Predator assessment pending.

Opposing Counsel: Roger Renteria

Affiant: Detective Donald Morant – Lancaster City

Brief Synopsis: Between 2008 – 2010, the Defendant had the victim who was between the ages of 8 and 10, perform various sexual acts on him several times. These offenses occurred in Lancaster City and the Indecent Assault his place of employment in Lancaster City.
The victim was ready and willing to testify as was everyone else involved in the case at the time of the plea. In addition to witnesses from Lancaster County, this case has several witnesses from York County’s MDIT, including the forensic interviewer from the York CAC, a York City Police Officer, and a SAFE Nurse from York Hospital.
