[ARCHIVED] East Lampeter Police Seeking Information on Man Charged in Child Pornography Case

Steven A. Brown

Investigators are seeking more information in an ongoing child pornography prosecution where thousands of images were uncovered.

Steven A. Brown, 63, is charged with felony counts of possessing child pornography and criminal use of a computer.

Earlier this year, East Lampeter police found thousands of images and at least 16 videos containing child pornography.

Investigators are trying to determine the origin of the child pornography. Anyone with information is asked to contact East Lampeter Police at 291-4676. Detective Joseph Edgell is lead investigator.

The investigation started when a cleaning agency discovered printed images of child pornography while cleaning a home on Country Lane, which Brown had moved from.

Police tracked Brown to a hotel on Lincoln Highway East and discovered numerous USBs and other devices.

In April, Brown waived a preliminary hearing on the charges. He is at Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart is prosecuting the case.
