A convicted felon caught in 2014 with a variety of illegal drugs and a shotgun will serve at least three years in prison.
Christopher Charles Danner, 44, of Peach Bottom, will serve 3 to 6 years in state prison, according to Lancaster County Judge Margaret Miller’s sentence.
Danner pleaded guilty to felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and persons not to possess firearms, regarding a July 23, 2014, search of his home in the 700 block of Nottingham Road.
Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives found at the home:
- 410 bags of heroin
- 68 tablets of oxycodone
- A small amount of methamphetamine
- A loaded, 12-gauge semiautomatic shotgun
- $933 cash
- Drug-packaging materials
- Arizona Iced Tea diversionary safe
Danner was convicted of felony burglary in 1991, which prohibits him from having firearms.
At a recent sentencing hearing in county court, Assistant District Attorney Deborah Greathouse rejected Danner’s claim that he dealt drugs to help those in pain. Greathouse said Danner is not a pharmacist and was dealing heroin and other drugs.
Lancaster County Drug Task Force operates under District Attorney Craig Stedman.
