[ARCHIVED] Lancaster Man Charged with Selling Marijuana from Wife’s Daycare

A Lancaster man is charged with felony drug-dealing after detectives discovered he was selling out of a city daycare operated by his wife.

Craig L. Johnson, 43, was charged after a recent raid at Gymboree Family Childcare at 407 South West End Avenue.

Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives served a search warrant, following an investigation that included surveillance, and found marijuana, paraphernalia and a thousand dollars in cash.

Detectives seized 87 grams of marijuana, which an estimated street value of $600.

District Judge Adam Witkonis arraigned Johnson, who was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.

Johnson’s wife was the operator of the daycare. She hasn’t been charged.

Lancaster Department of Health & Human Services was notified of the criminal activity at the daycare.

No children were believed to be harmed as part of Johnson’s crimes.

Johnson is presumed innocent.
