[ARCHIVED] Lititz Man Caught Viewing Child Porn at Work Sentenced to State Prison

A Lititz man was recently sentenced to state prison for having collections of child pornography on his work and home computers.

Peter E. Jacobs will serve 2 to 4 years in prison, followed by 6 years of probation, in accordance with a plea agreement. Lancaster County Court Judge Jeffery Wright accepted the agreement Wednesday and ordered sentence.

Jacobs, 59, of Paddock Drive, pleaded guilty to five felony counts, according to Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart, who prosecuted the case.

Police were notified of the lewd material after a co-worker caught Jacobs looking at child pornography at their building materials business in Leola.

Police found 40 images of child pornography on the work computer and an additional 71 images on Jacobs’ home computer.

Jacobs admitted to viewing the pornography at work and home.

East Lampeter Township police Detective Joe Edgell filed charges.
