[ARCHIVED] Ephrata Man Jailed up to 8 Years for Child-Porn Photos and Videos

An Ephrata man will serve at least three years in state prison for a keeping collection of child pornography on a computer at his parents’ home.

Matthew Scott Warner, 35, had 66 images and 17 videos in a computer on South Market Street, which he used to share and download child pornography.

Last week in Lancaster County Court, Judge Joseph Madenspacher ordered a 3-to-8-year prison sentence, to be followed by four years of probation.

Warner pleaded guilty to felony charges in exchange for the negotiated sentence.

District Attorney Crag Stedman’s Computer Crimes Task Force discovered Warner’s activity last year.

Following an undercover operation, Warner admitted to police that he downloaded and shared child pornography.

Assistant District Attorney Janie Swinehart prosecuted the case.

Ephrata police Detective Peter Sheppard filed charges.
