
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Officer Jaiden Droege demonstrated exemplary action in a critical situation. A civilian arrived at the Lancaster County Prison with a child who was choking on an unknown obstruction. Without hesitation, Officer Droege immediately jumped into action and rendered potentially lifesaving aid, successfully dislodging the obstruction. Officer Droege's swift response is a powerful example of the courage and decisiveness all staff members should emulate. Her actions reflect great credit upon herself, the Lancaster County Prison, and the County of Lancaster.
Joined by the Commissioners, Warden, Superior Officers, County Administration and her family, Officer Droege was recognized with the County's Star Performer at the Wednesday, October 22nd Board of Commissioners. She was recognized with the Lifesaving Award from the Lancaster County Prison at the September 18th Prison Board meeting.
