A Conoy Township man was ordered to stand trial after an officer testified Wednesday about the man’s suspended license and nearly a pound of marijuana found in his vehicle in January.

District Judge Randall Miller ordered 29-year-old Shane M. Wingler be tried in Lancaster County Court on counts of possession with intent to deliver (marijuana), DUI, and driving on a suspended license.

Wingler was free on bail when police stopped him Jan. 18, 2020, for an illegal turn in Mount Joy Township, according to Assistant District Attorney Mari Andracchio.

Police determined Wingler was intoxicated - a blood draw later revealed a blood-alcohol level of .082 percent.

Wingler is presumed innocent.

ADA Andracchio presented testimony at a preliminary hearing from Northwest Regional police Officer Bradley Redinger, who filed charges.

Redinger testified that Winger was argumentative about being pulled over and had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Wingler kept reaching for his pockets, where he had wads of cash totaling over $9,000.

A police K-9 performed an exterior scan of Wingler’s Audi and alerted on multiple locations. Police found a duffel bag containing .92 pounds of marijuana and empty baggies.

Police also found Wingler’s license was suspended regarding five prior driving under suspension convictions.

In July, Wingler posted $25,000 bail on the other pending possession with intent to deliver case. Susquehanna Regional police filed charges regarding marijuana, THC wax and THC oil found at Wingler’s Conoy Township home.

Wingler is presumed innocent.
