A Warwick Township woman is charged with providing a pure fentanyl pill to a man who fatally overdosed last year.
Northern Lancaster County Regional police Detective Theresa Stauffer charged Rebecca R. Formica with felony drug delivery resulting in death and a related felony regarding the Jan. 23, 2018, death of a 21-year-old Warwick Township man.
Formica, 22, was arraigned Thursday afternoon when bail was set at $450,000. Bail was posted via bondsmen.
Police allege Formica provided the pressed fentanyl pill on Jan. 22, 2018 or Jan 23, 2018.
Formica was aware the pill contained fentanyl.
An autopsy determined the man died of an overdose involving fentanyl.
Formica, of Owl Hill Road, is presumed innocent. She is also charged with a felony count criminal use of a communication facility regarding the use of a cellphone in the drug transaction.
A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for June 21.
