A repeat DUI offender is facing a state prison sentence after a Lancaster County jury convicted her this week of having a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit last year in Ephrata Township.
Lisa M. Cochran, 38, was convicted of two counts of DUI and driving on a DUI-related suspended license. She will be sentenced after a background investigation is completed, in about three months.
Assistant District Attorney Jonathan Chieppor presented evidence at trial that Cochran had a blood-alcohol level of .323 percent – the state’s legal limit is .08 percent – when she was stopped Dec. 3, 2018, on South Reading Road in Ephrata Township.
Cochran has two DUI convictions in the past decade, so she will be sentenced in accordance with guidelines for repeat offenders.
Ephrata police Sergeant Eric Schmitt filed charges.
