[ARCHIVED] Sentenced: Burglar who Stole Gun from One Home, then Targeted Filer of PFA for Another Burglary

Kevin Reyes-Molina

A Lancaster man who burglarized two homes during the same overnight in January – stealing a gun from one home – will serve up to 12 years in prison.

Kevin Reyes-Molina, 28, pleaded guilty to felony burglary counts and related charges for the Jan. 4-5 spree in Lancaster city.

Lancaster County Judge Margaret Miller sentenced Reyes-Molina to 6 to 12 years in prison, in accordance with a plea agreement arranged by Assistant District Attorney Caitlin Blazier.

Reyes-Molina first targeted a home on North Reservoir Street. The victim reported around 10 p.m. that a .40-caliber pistol and other items were stolen. A balcony window had been forced open.

A few hours later, a person who previously filed a PFA against Reyes-Molina reported that Reyes-Molina had made contact. Police responded to a South Queen Street home and found Reyes-Molina in an alley by the home.

He had a video game system, which police determined was stolen from inside the home. Reyes-Molina entered through a window.

As part of sentence, the firearm is forfeited.

Lancaster city police Officer Jason Windlebleck filed charges.
