[ARCHIVED] Commonwealth vs. Dante Seals


Dante Seals currently has 2 open dockets.

On docket number 3928-2013, he is charged with 2 counts of Persons Not to Possess (F2), 2 counts of firearms to be carried without a license, and 1 count of Receiving Stolen Property (F2). Bail was set at $100,000 monetary on that case by Det. Breault of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.

On docket number 4577-2013, he is charged with one count of Fleeing (F3), one count of Noise Ordinance (S), one count of Reckless Driving (S), and one count of Drivers Required to be Licensed (S) by Officer Weaver of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. Bail was set at $10,000 monetary on that case. Seals bailed out in May when his bail was posted by a surety, Sylvester Jones.

A bench warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear at trial on August 4, 2014. Seal was arrested on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Seals appeared before the Honorable Margaret C. Miller the afternoon of August 20, 2014 for a bench warrant hearing pursuant to Rule 150. Judge Miller vacated the bench warrant and forfeited the bail. Surety Jones requested that the bail piece be dismissed pursuant to Rule 536; however, Judge Miller denied the request. Judge Miller indicated that the Surety made no attempts to locate Seals and only requested the bail piece be dismissed once Seals was arrested by the police. Bail was reset at $1,000,000 on each docket.
