Volunteer Park Watch Program

The Volunteer Park Watch Program seeks to involve county residents in the use and protection of Lancaster County's parks. The program empowers volunteers, usually residents living near a county park, to report to park rangers about suspicious activity such as trash dumping, vandalism, theft, and destruction of property. Although park rangers regularly patrol the parks, they may not see everything that residents see.

Benefits

The benefits of being a park watch volunteer include:

  • Advance notice of events taking place in the park
  • Opportunity to provide suggestions for park improvement
